Course Description

Robotics Engineering is a diversified program that incorporates Basic Electronics, Integrated Computer Applications, Technical Science and Mobile Robotics including UAV’s (Unmanned Arial Vehicles/DRONES). The course is intense and rigorous that challenges students to achieve excellence by focusing on real applications using Robot C programming language. Students utilize CAD Programs for electronic circuits and testing along with Virtual Instrumentation Platform (VIP) for the design of robotic behaviors through challenges and gaming situations. Students integrate electronics with mobile robotics and can participate in Robotics Competitions.

Skills Learned

Students will develop testing and designing electronic circuits, reading schematics, systematic troubleshooting, conducting lab experiments, using test instruments, conduct troubleshooting with Volt-Ohm-Meter (VOM), oscilloscopes, signal generators, digital analyzers. Design concepts of incorporating mechanics with electronics to construct mobile robots.
